DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

VForge respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. The Acceptable Use Policy prohibits infringing content; this page explains how rights holders can report it.

Filing a copyright complaint

Send a notice via the contact form (subject: "DMCA notice") or to the support email in your account correspondence, including:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  2. The URL or video identifier of the allegedly infringing material on VForge.
  3. Your name, organization (if any), mailing address, email, and phone number.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We review complete notices promptly. Where appropriate we remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who created it.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice with: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief the removal was an error; your name, address, and phone number; consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court (or equivalent); and your signature. If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright are terminated.

Misrepresentation

Knowingly false infringement claims can carry legal liability. Don't file a notice unless you actually hold (or represent the holder of) the rights.
