Managing your videos

Once a video is ready you can rename it, save it to your favorites, find it fast with filters, and reuse its settings for your next video — all without leaving VForge.

Renaming a video

On the video page: click the pencil icon next to the title and type the new name (3–300 characters). Press Enter or click Save.

On the dashboard: open the three-dot menu on any video card and choose Rename. The same inline editor appears.

The new title is checked against the content policy the same way a topic is — keep it descriptive and on-topic.

Favoriting / pinning videos (paid plans)

Click the heart icon on the video page or in the dashboard card menu to toggle a video as a favorite. Favorited videos sort to the top of your library above all non-favorited videos.

Favoriting requires a paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Studio). If you're on the Free plan, the heart is shown but toggling it opens an upgrade prompt.

Filtering and finding videos on the dashboard

The dashboard has two filter controls above the video grid:

  • Status — All / Ready / Creating / Didn't finish / Cancelled / Expired
  • Language — shows only the languages present in your library

Filters are reflected in the URL so you can bookmark or share a filtered view. Changing a filter resets to page 1; pagination keeps the active filters as you move through pages.

When no videos match, you'll see a No videos match these filters notice with a Clear link that resets both filters.

Downloading your script as a .txt file

On the video page, find the Download script (.txt) button in the downloads row (the same row as the MP4 and SRT). Clicking it saves a plain-text file of your narration script to your device — useful for re-editing, archiving, or posting captions manually.

The YouTube pack — Copy all / Download .txt

In the YouTube pack section of the video page you'll find two bulk-export shortcuts alongside the individual copy buttons:

  • Copy all — copies the title, description, and tags (including or excluding the AI disclosure line depending on your toggle) to the clipboard in one click, formatted ready to paste.
  • Download .txt — saves the same bundle as a plain-text file you can store with your project files or hand to an editor.

See Uploading to YouTube for the full publishing walkthrough.

Exporting creation settings as .json

On the video page, click Export settings (.json) to download a human-readable snapshot of exactly how the video was made: language, voice, tone/style, music, aspect ratio, target length, quality tier, and advanced options.

This is useful for documenting a workflow, handing settings to a team member, or importing them into another tool. No script or media is included — only the creation parameters.

Make another like this

On the video page, click Make another like this to open the creator with all settings pre-filled from that video: voice, tone, style, music, aspect ratio, language, and advanced options. The topic is left blank so you write a fresh one, and the script is generated from scratch for the new topic.

Any draft you had in progress is replaced by this clone, so the wizard opens clean. Minutes work the same way as a normal creation — nothing extra is charged for cloning.
