Plans & billing
VForge keeps pricing simple: you pick a monthly plan, and every plan comes with a pool of video minutes. Everything else — templates, voices, languages, styles, and music — is included on every plan. This guide covers everything on the Billing page: choosing a plan, upgrading, switching, cancelling, and finding your receipts.
The plans
There's a Free plan and three paid plans — Starter, Pro, and Studio. Moving up a plan gives you three things:
- A bigger monthly minute pool — more finished-video minutes each month.
- A higher per-video length cap — Free caps a single video at 5 minutes; the paid plans go up to 10, 15, and 20 minutes.
- More features — for example, search-optimization insights and favoriting videos are on the paid plans, and higher plans unlock higher render quality.
The exact minutes and price for each plan are always shown on the Pricing page — that's the one place with the current numbers, so it's never out of date.
Upgrading
- Open Pricing (from Billing, click Upgrade, or use the top navigation).
- Choose the plan you want and complete checkout.
Upgrades are instant and prorated — you only pay the difference for the time left in your current month, and your bigger minute pool is available to use right away. You don't lose the minutes you've already got; the new allowance replaces the old one immediately.
Switching or downgrading
You can move to any other paid plan the same way — from the Pricing page. Switching is prorated, so you're only ever charged the difference. If you move to a smaller plan, your new monthly allowance applies going forward; any top-up minutes you've bought stay on your account (they never expire).
Managing your subscription
On the Billing page, the Subscription card shows your plan, its monthly price, and the date your minutes refill.
- Manage subscription opens a secure billing portal where you can update your card and download receipts. Your card details are entered directly with our payment provider — they never touch VForge's servers.
- The card also shows your status. If a payment doesn't go through, you'll see a Past due flag here (and we'll email you) so you can fix your card before anything is interrupted.
Top-up minutes
Need a few more minutes without changing plans? Buy top-up minutes from the Billing page — pick a quick pack (+30, +60, +120) or set an exact amount with the + / − buttons. Top-ups never expire and are only used after your monthly allowance runs out. See How minutes work for the full detail on allowances, holds, and top-ups.
Invoices & receipts
Every subscription payment and every top-up appears in Purchase history on the Billing page. Each subscription charge has an Invoice link that opens a printable receipt. Receipts are also emailed to you automatically. Because our payment provider is the merchant of record, your receipt and any applicable tax are handled for you.
Cancelling
Change your mind? On the Billing page, click Cancel subscription. Here's exactly what happens:
- We'll ask a quick, optional question about why you're leaving — it genuinely helps us improve, but you can skip it.
- You keep your current plan until the end of the period you've already paid for — nothing is cut off early. After that date, your account simply moves to the Free plan.
- Your videos stay available according to their normal keep dates — cancelling doesn't delete your work.
- You can resubscribe any time and pick up right where you left off.
The golden rule across all of VForge: you're only ever charged for finished videos and the time you've actually subscribed for. Failed videos cost nothing, and cancelling never charges you for time you won't use.
A note on payments
Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record. That means they handle the card processing, receipts, and any sales tax or VAT — so no matter where you are in the world, checkout just works. VForge never sees or stores your full card number.
